Our philosophy is People Helping People and with the generous support of our members we are able to do just that. It is common for us to sponsor many school projects and local fundraising events; however, we also take great pride in our community involvement. Below is just small glimpse at some of the things we’ve been doing.
Tickets on sale (ticketweb.com) and several businesses in FD. Peoples CU has tickets for sale at both FD and WC branches. Tickets cost: $40 in advance and increase to $50 beginning on Monday, May 30th leading up to the show on Saturday, June 11th.

Peoples CU sponsors a FREE online financial resource available to everyone in our community. Banzai has a library full of articles, calculators, and Coach Sessions for everyday life events. No obligation to use, visit as often as you like.
Through staff, members’ contributions and Peoples CU monetary match, over $700 was donated to help fill the Joy Mobile with free books for the children in Fort Dodge to take home and enjoy!
Alison Hassebrock, Sheila Huebsch (2nd-time winner), and Jenny Litwiller each won a $500 grant. They were chosen based on their application of how they would use the funds to complement their teaching and benefit the students.
Just over $460 was collected and split between FD & WC Backpack weekend food programs.
To Spark the Spirit of holiday giving, we selected 3 nonprofit charities to receive a combined total of $850 in donations based on a community vote. Winners/Donation: Gateway to Discovery/$500, All Cultures Equal/$250, United Way FD/$100
We wanted to share the spirit and help bring smiles to our local seniors by purchasing a few items off their wish list.
Another year of collecting gifts so children of struggling families will have a gift to open and know that the magic of the holiday season hasn’t passed them by. Peoples CU matched items donated.

Another successful Downtown Country Jam held in Ft Dodge with the help of sponsors like Peoples CU.
Providing cash sponsorship and volunteers in support of the event as it pedals through our communities.
48 member students stopped in to claim their reward for good grades. 11 of those students had straight A’s and were entered into the Gold Star drawing for a chance at an additional $100. $992 total dollars was paid out this year!

Food and money collected helped fill UDMO food pantries in FD and WC throughout February. Peoples CU matched funds donated.
A $500 Kendall Young Library donation went a long way to help fund the “Take + Make” activity bags handed out weekly.
