Peoples Credit Union
established its roots in Webster City on May 26th, 1962. During the first 23 years, Peoples Credit Union saw little change. The membership consisted of and was limited to employees of Franklin Manufacturing Company (now Electrolux) and Arrow Acme Corporation, employees of the credit union and members of the immediate family of such persons. On April 1, 1985, a merger was completed
merging Hamilton County Public Employees Credit Union and making the credit union available to all Hamilton County employees. At this time the name was changed to Peoples Credit Union. Peoples Credit Union operated from within Don and Colleen Follett's home in Webster City for 33 years. In 1991, a new building was opened to the membership at 310 First St., Webster City. |
